Although they are generally frowned upon, emulators are not only a good source of fun, but also a great trip down memory lane. If you like to spend your spare time reliving the good old days of River Raid on the Atari 2600 or Contra on the NES, then you surely have at least one emulator on your computer. The problem is that you can only organize everything in folders and rely on your operating system's tools to manage them. This is where QuickPlay comes in to help you keep track of all your emulators are ROMs. You can instantly find the games you're looking for and launch them at a moment's notice, regardless of their platform.

It doesn't take more than a minute to run QuickPlay on a modern-day computer, because you don't have to go through an installation process. The software doesn't have any special requirements, and it doesn't use a noticeable amount of resources. You can run it on any modern Windows system, without encountering any compatibility issues.

You can create folders and sub-folders on the left side of the user interface and populate them with ROMs in the larger area on the left. What's more, the software lets you enable real-time monitoring for individual folders, which means that any new ROM you copy on your hard drive will automatically show up in QuickPlay. Also, if you set up extension filters, you can have different ROMs show up in separate folders.

QuickPlay works with any emulation software, for any system, from the Atari 2600 to Sony's PlayStation 4. You need to know that it doesn't come with any built-in emulation software, so you will need to have your own programs ready. The software can scan your local folders and automatically import any emulators it finds, so you don't have to browse through your folders to import them one by one.

With your ROMs and emulators imported, you will be able to play any of your old games without any distractions. You can find them without any effort and launch them instantly, without thinking about what emulator to use, because the software will automatically pick the correct one.

QuickPlay gives you the possibility of enjoying your old console games on your computer in comfort and style.

Pros

You can manage your emulation programs and organize your ROMs on a single user interface. The software enables you to find and launch your favorite games instantly. You don't have to go through an installation process.

Cons

You may have some difficulties when trying to set up ROM folder monitors.
